The junction at Rua de Ourem, near the Income Tax Office in the heritage quarter is so very shabby. There are piles of boulders lying around for years, posters and banners pasted everywhere, hundreds of cables of the private utility providers adding further to the filthy condition.
The city officials who are in-charge need to pay attention to this and other such junctions which go to show the utter neglect and lack of maintenance and their failure to keep the city clean and smart. People who deface public properties need to be booked and penalised, including all those private operators who have left their cables dangling and bunched up on city electric and telephone poles.
