Clear mess in and around Panjim bus stand area

Piles of rubble, mud and filth are scattered, shrubs and bushes overgrown

The Panjim bus stand exit for out-of-city departing buses is in total shambles.  There are piles of rubble, mud, filth, overgrown shrubs and bushes and this state is a disgrace to the city it serves. 

The monsoon season is long gone and will be approaching soon but the drying vegetation is not yet cleared. 

Is this how the principal bus stand of a Capital city should appear?  Don’t any of the city officials look at the mess in our city and towns?  The elected representatives ensure that everything is well manicured and smart looking where they have business interests.  Being elected as representatives of the people their service to the public is paramount.

Where are the guys from the Smart City Project and why don’t they give importance to these eye sores and give a smart look to the bus stand area?  

The bus stand, itself needs to be refurbished and cleaned up thoroughly which ought to be done by the Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited.  

What is the use of having a beautiful new bridge on the Mandovi if below it there is so much of uncleared rubble and filth?  When crores are spent on these bridges it is vital to give a proper finish to the road surface and footpaths beneath.  By introducing plants and green patches the aesthetics can be improved.  But most important is regular maintenance.
