Pavements are meant for free movement of pedestrians proceeding along different locations. However, at many locations in the State, we come across vehicles parked over the pavements. Not only two-wheelers but even private cars are being parked with great ease. Such a practice creates obstruction for public at large wishing to proceed along the pavements.
Seen in the picture are two-wheelers parked over the pavement situated in the vicinity of Shree Maruti temple at Varkhandem in Ponda.
The concerned authorities should take a serious view of this important matter and initiate necessary action against persons who hinder free movement of pedestrians. Let us hope that prompt favourable action would follow in public interest.
