The concrete slab over a drain adjacent to Almeida High School in Ponda has been lying in a misplaced condition for long. Motorists and pedestrians proceeding along this busy route have been throwing waste papers and other unwanted material inside this drain. Due to this, it serves as a dust-bin thereby defeating the very basis of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. It is time for the concerned authorities to re-fix the misplaced slab in its correct original position so that public is prevented from throwing waste material at this spot. Let us hope that necessary favorable action would be initiated by the concerned authorities at the earliest without any further delay.
