The dustbins installed at Sancoale Railway Station for biodegradable (wet) waste and non-biodegradable (dry) waste, are kept open with no lids. It is a small platform without a roof.
The bins should be covered to prevent invasion by strays and pests especially by dogs, cattle, insects, flies and the bad odour and mainly during the rainy season from collection of water.
At times, the bins are turned upside down to drain out the rain water. The matter can be looked into to keep the garage bins properly closed for fulfilling the purpose of installing the bins to keep the environment clean.
