Finding a parking space for four wheelers in Margao is problematic at the best of times and an absolute nightmare at the worst. The Cruz Mansion in the old market area on Martires Dias Road is the most impacted with cars parked two deep resulting in only one third of the width available for traffic movement.
Various “No Parking” signs placed on the stretch are of no avail and the area witnesses traffic jams at all hours of the day.
I request the Margao Traffic Cell to deploy personnel here at least during business hours and the errant drivers parking their vehicles in defiance of rules must be penalised heavily as a measure of deterrence.
