It is observed that every morning garbage is transported in open trucks in the port town of Vasco. It seems that the number of closed garbage trucks available with the municipality is grossly inadequate for the port town.
Transporting garbage in open trucks can emit a stench, the waste and leachate can drop on the road along the way and trucks filled with garbage present an ugly sight. The civic body needs to see to it that waste is transported only in closed trucks.
