Right at Maria Hall crossing, Benaulim, an electric light pole is being used for mounting various kinds of cables, from electricity wires to internet service providers’ cables, optic fibre cables, telephone cables and thick electrical main supply trunk cables.
A fruit and vegetable shop is located right next to this pole, occasionally the pole is also used to mount billboards for films and tiatrs. This arrangement is fraught with hazard as even a tiny spark or short circuit would lead to a major disaster. The approaching rains make the area more dangerous. I would like to request the panchayat authorities to get the cables removed as soon as possible.
