I am a returning visitor, who spends many happy weeks every year in Ashwem.
Recently the peace and beauty of this area was disrupted by blasting techno music which continued beyond 10.30 pm at an even higher volume. This is a terrible abuse bestowed on both local people and visitors who travel across the globe to be here and enjoy the sea, nature and peace of this lovely country.
I am aghast at discovering from articles in your paper that this is been going on for a long time and that beach partying is only the loudest of the illegal businesses in this area. Good, rewarding tourism will seek other, more peaceful countries and Goa will become a playground for loud, disrespectful people, illegal establishments and drugs.
