The concerned authorities in the port town of Vasco have off and on carried out drives against encroachment by the vendors.
However, it is observed that at some places, the vendors have left behind their goods on the streets. One such place is right outside the old vegetable market as seen in the photograph. This is a busy place with the shoppers.
The stored goods present an ugly sight to the locals. It also blocks the free movement of the shoppers along the passage.
The authorities’ concerned need to see to it that the streets are made free of such stored goods of vendors.
