This is to bring to the attention of the Electricity Department officials in Marna Siolim that a high tension power line and an electricity pole has been installed over my house in Igreja Vaddo in Marna without my consent when I was out of station somewhere in April.
When I came down to Goa, I was shocked to see the power line almost touching the tin sheets of my house which is very dangerous. When I questioned the linesmen as to who had done it, they say that it is done by some ‘higher-ups’ and not dangerous at all.
When the department does these illegalities only to help builders who have put monstrous complexes by violating the laws of the land then this is nothing but grave injustice to the common man in the village.
I’m a senior citizen and a widow and live with my little grandson in the house and really don’t have the strength to run around to get the HTL shifted. I hence call upon the Electricity Department officials to shift the line to a safer location before any tragedy occurs.
Let better counsel prevail.
