MARGAO: The labourers who are preparing for the International Fish Festival at the SAG ground, Margao have been using the periphery of the ground for all domestic purposes like cooking, washing utensils and clothes in the open. Besides, they also bath in the open area.
This is causing a lot of inconvenience to the people coming to the Joggers track.
People have complained that the activities are done in front of the local residents who use the premises for walking and jogging, in the morning and evening.
“This has caused a lot of inconvenience for the walkers that also include women. Apart from this, these labourers have also been disposing wastage within the premises itself which has created a filthy across the ground,” said Sarpanch of Aquem Baixo, who had been for a walk in the morning at the track.
The Sarpanch on behalf of the people has written to the Fatorda Police, District Collector and also the Chairman of SAG for early resolution to the problems.
