This is the junction road at Bastora where vehicular traffic crisscross to go to Mapusa city, Panjim and to join the highway. Only recently patch work was done with poor quality filling material.
With the unexpected incessant rain experienced recently, the potholes have opened up and the material has been washed off bringing to light the functioning of the concerned authority in charge.
What the road needs is proper permanent hot-mix to make vehicular traffic safe and the movement of general public comfortable to walk. Will the authority wake up before it’s too and there is a public outcry?
