KTC is providing both local and shuttle service across Goa. The local buses help villagers and other passengers to reach their work place and home.
On other hand shuttle services in cities help people reach in time especially State govt employees, bankers, central govt staff, public sector employees and private company workers too. The shuttle service being non-stop helps commuters reach faster and in time.
However, many passengers at various bus stops in between the routes have a difficulty in knowing if the bus is shuttle or local bus. Hence, KTC should display a symbol on the front windshield or some colour sign to enable passengers to know if it can be stopped or not, by waving their hands. Many wave their hands to stop the bus in between bus stops but sometimes since the bus is shuttle service bus, they are upset and disappointed.
The symbol with colour coding the shuttle service and local bus services will enable to identify the same and avoid such confusions. The display of colour with round board and mention of shuttle service or local service in it will help many to identify the bus.
Hope the concerned authorities will consider the request as in other states it is bus number which identifies the destination route. In Goa, since we have both private operators and KTC run buses, colour coding is enough to identify the bus.
