The matter regarding a leaking water valve at Paunwada in the vicinity of two-pillars, Queula in Ponda was published in this column on May 6.
For almost more than two months a large quantity of water got wasted. Taking a note of this important matter, the concerned authorities repaired the said leaking valve thereby avoiding further wastage of the much precious water.
I am thankful to the authorities for their prompt action in this regard. Also thanks to the Herald team for highlighting this important issue.
It would be appropriate to mention here that the damaged slab existing over this water valve also needs immediate replacement in the interest of the commuters and pedestrians alike.
