The sorry state and story of our Margao town is unending with its problems. Earlier, private shop owners had dared to plant soft drink crates, stones wood logs in front of their shops to prevent two wheelers being parked in front of their shops. However, now two-wheeler owners seem to have taken one step forward and are parking their bikes right on public footpaths as seen here on the footpath adjoining the Bank of India.
Conscious citizens really wonder if the rule of the law exists in Margao as the city roads are left with no space for vehicles to drive and finding a parking space is like a high end luxury on a sultry afternoon. However, come what may the MMC has guaranteed for themselves a parking slot no matter what happens to other citizens. Selfish isn’t it?
