It is shocking to see that there are hardly any lights installed in the newly built parking area of Margao Railway Station and the ones that are, are too distant or defective.
People parking their vehicles in pitch darkness often stumble over construction rubble strewn around the place or risk falling into pits dug for laying down service pipes and electrical cables.
The darkness also provides cover for anti-social elements to indulge in nefarious activities. Parking areas near railway stations see extremely high traffic and must be well lit at all times. As a tri-weekly train traveler, I request the concerned authorities to take urgent action in this regards.
