Streets of Margao city now are not left with a motorable space as vehicles are being parked everywhere, including at no parking areas.
Cars and bikes are being parked even on footpaths under the eyes of the MMC inspectors and the traffic police personnel.
Margao seems to be following a jungle rule as the vehicles just keep on piling up everywhere and cars are stopped and parked at will in the absence of space and traffic discipline and also due to the lethargic attitude of the Margao Municipal Council.
Those who visit Margao, seem to have lost their civic and traffic sense.
While “No Entry’streets are being used without any fear, the traffic rules are easily broken with the police often looking the other way. Unless the MMC and the Police Traffic Cell find a way out of this mess, chaos is definitely going to increase in days ahead.
