Narrow road to the Panjim Church needs immediate attention

Years have gone by and presidents, secretaries, councillors, inspectors and other concerned workers of the then Camara Municipal de Goa, then Panjim Municipality and now rechristened the City Corporation of Panaji (CCP), have come and gone. However, the capital city, which wants to be included as ‘Smart city’, is embroiled in dirty politics and no authorities seem to be bothered in the development of the city.
I fail to understand why none of past or present CCP councillors and other government authorities have taken interest in improving the S-shaped difficult narrow road leading up to the Church of Mary Immaculate Conception.
The said narrow deep sloppy road to Panjim church is in such a dilapidated condition. Wild plants have grown upon the walls, cemented drainage slabs thrown anyhow making it difficult for the vehicular traffic and also for people walking up to reach the church, especially on Sundays and feast days.
They are not maintained for a long time except the main middle huge and wide open steps to go to the church which are well maintained no doubt for we are thankful to CCP authorities and other department concern is it be because it is easily visible for tourism purpose?
It is also surprising to see the old horse carriage garage on the way up to the church of which the gate is locked and needs maintenance. The horse carriage was being used to carry the coffins to St Inez church cemetery for burial. At the left side corner down near the Cortim road a well called (Adanchim Bhaim) meaning well of bones meant to dump the bones of the dead, is always dirty and in a filthy condition. People are even often seen urinating there.
I request the Panjimites to get together and march to the CCP office and demand that this road and its surroundings be cleaned.
