Through Citizen Herald column in the edition of O Heraldo dated August 14, I had highlighted the issue of drain covers either missing or broken near the Vasco branch of the South India Bank.
With the Vasco Saptah fast approaching and one of the largest fair in the State coming up in the port town, it was hoped that the drain would be covered. The uncovered drain would have proved dangerous for the people who visit the fair. The authorities concerned have taken note of the same and covered the drain.
