BRICS was organised in a hurry and infrastructure was put in place so hurriedly by the Government and openly claimed by the CM himself and reported by your daily. He claimed so many numbers of transformers were brought in for uninterrupted power for BRICS. He claimed so many roads were widened, hot-mixed, speed breakers removed and light poles shifted (why hot-mixing and road widening now, why closure of roads to escort dignitaries, when common man pay road taxes to fill government coffers). CM is portraying a wrong image of the state when ground reality is different. If he or his government were keen on good governance this infrastructure would have been in place all over Goa for all the Goans and their non Goan electorate first than for these dignitaries who are brought here and entertained.
Why no uninterrupted power is there all throughout the year? Why roads are not hot-mixed all over Goa. Looking at condition of the roads in Mapusa and Calangute, the deputy CM constituency looks like an opposition MLA’s domain. It is understandable the deputy CM is just a title, strings are pulled from elsewhere. It is funny to read all this and one should question CM of ours who has a boasting nature that all the above highlights his ignorance on good governance. He and his party was elected and brought in power to provide infrastructure to people of Goa first and not to those who come routinely to visit our state.
