This is in reference to the recent media reports wherein GOACAN’s Roland Martins has demanded that a counter of the Goa Printing Press be set up immediately at the Mathany Saldanha Administrative Complex in Margao.
The Printing Press sales counter at the Communidade Building no longer functions and citizens have to travel to the Panjim headquarters to buy a copy of the calendar or some other government publication.
The demand made by Martins should be fulfilled immediately as it will help the whole of South Goa.
I would also suggest the Directorate of Printing Press update with time. They should start an online sale facility where home delivery of the items such as calendars, bare-Acts, etc would be done after online booking of the articles.
Orders costing above Rs 5 Hundred can be delivered free, while lesser priced orders should be delivered by adding a delivery cost. This will be a great boon to all especially senior citizens.
