The concrete signpost existing at Farmagudi in Ponda was installed with the basic purpose of depicting directions and distance towards Goa Engineering College and also towards Panjim. However, the said signpost has been noticed in a negligent condition during recent years.
Very often bushes that come up around it remain uncleared. Ultimately travellers are prevented from noticing the necessary message. Wordings mentioned on it have almost disappeared from the spot. It is the need of the hour for the concerned authorities to provide facelift to this particular signpost so that its image improves in the minds of travellers proceeding along this strategic route.
Let us hope that the authorities will rise to the occasion and initiate prompt positive steps in providing facelift to this neglected signpost so that travellers are assured necessary relief on a permanent basis.
