Provide shed for Ponda motorcycle pilots

At many locations in the State we come across motorcycle pilots awaiting for the customers in open areas with no protective shelter of any sort.

During the summer season they are unable to bear the scorching sun while during the rains they face great inconvenience and trouble during heavy rain showers.

Over the years, this important matter has remained neglected and this class of people has remained to be the ultimate sufferers in the process. The State government has enacted pension scheme for their welfare and well-being. However, above particular aspect has remained neglected till date. Seen in the picture are motorcycle pilots occupying the open area opposite Kanekar Electronics at Upper Bazaar in Ponda.

I hope the authorities would consider the plight of this class of people, more so, during the ongoing monsoon and initiate prompt favourable action in installing necessary sheds so that the pilots can continue their trade comfortably.

Let us hope that immediate positive action would follow in this important matter without any further delay. Of course, necessary relief must be assured to them on a priority basis.
