Last Monday, on September 23, Herald through its Citizen Herald column had published my appeal with a photo to PWD, to attend urgently to the leakage of piped water and spilling it all over the road and creating danger of skidding to the public using that area, on Pe Pedro Ferrão Road, Fatorda. It’s to be noted that on the very same day some workers were busy digging two narrow trenches and diverting the flowing water towards the nearby rainwater drain.
This action has resolved partially the issue of spillage of water on the road but not solved the issue of wastage of water which is going on unstopped and this has to be fixed immediately. Also these trenches will become wider with time and further damages done the road.
Also the need of proper Zebra Crossing near Rosary High School and speed breakers at appropriate places for slowing down fast moving traffic have to be implemented at the earliest. Herald is right when highlighting citizens’ grievances.
