In the initial stages, the Traffic Cell department in Ponda had installed traffic signboards over the electrical poles in different locations. The basic purpose was to provide valuable guidance to innocent travellers in terms of safety. However, such signboards have presently been found missing from the concerned spots. What we notice over the poles are only the aluminium frames existing in isolation. Seen in the picture is one such instance. The location is in the vicinity of main bus-stop at Farmagudi.
It is the need of the hour for the traffic cell department in Ponda to re-install missing signboards over the existing frames at various locations in Ponda. Such a favorable step would go a long way in assuring safety to vehicular traffic. Let us hope that prompt favorable action would be initiated in public interest.
