Repair broken water pipelines on priority basis, don’t waste exchequer’s money

The State government recently announced free water for domestic consumers but the PWD officials should be prompt in repairing broken or leaking pipelines to avoid water wastage that flows down in the drains. This is total wastage of the exchequer’s money, if the officials are lackadaisical at work.

I have noticed water leaking from a damaged pipeline near the police station drain at the St Francis Xavier Chapel junction for almost a week now. But every citizen is also duty bound to inform the PWD Department (PHEN) to send their technicians to repair such broken pipelines.

The PWD should make available a WhatsApp number so that the concerned Junior Engineer in-charge will be able to direct his repairman to fix the water leakage at the earliest. This pipeline, I hope PWD Minister Deepak Pauskar will be able to make his department (PHEN) more accountable by introducing the WhatsApp number.
