For quite some time now, two swings (out of the four) existing at the municipal garden adjacent to the premises of Ponda Municipal Council in Ponda have been found to be out of order. As a result, the children visiting this particular garden for recreation have been unable to utilise the same.
Whenever the number of children wishing to use the swings increases, they have no other alternative but to wait for their turn to come at the other two swings which are found functional. Such a tendency confronts them with inconvenience. They have to waste their precious time in the process. As on September 20, the situation in this regard was found to be unchanged.
In the interest of the children, it would be appropriate for the higher officials at the Ponda Municipal Council to get the above non-working swings repaired at once so that children can utilise the same during their visit to these important premises.
Let us hope that prompt favourable action would follow in this matter without any further delay.
