Rising road accidents on Goan roads have not changed the way we drive or ride our vehicles. Good roads or bad roads, we don’t care for our own life or the lives of others, we just speed and kill that is Goa. We have to blame all of us for such rash accidents.
The police itself will not be able to control these accidents but cameras and pro active citizens should be empowered to be involved to bring this road discipline on our Goan roads.
Siolim MDR-6 Road, the very busy link road to the North Goa beaches lacks road safety. The widened roads have no marking for the pedestrian to walk, no fluorescent paint on the Zebra Crossings and Speed Breakers. Who will save our “Cinderellas” and “Chota Bhims” to risk crossing the road to schools?
