It is observed that at several places tree branches are seen hanging precariously along the road. We are in the middle of a long monsoon season.
These branches which look weak may not be able to counter the strong winds that accompany the rains. There is every possibility of the branch snapping and falling on a passing car or pedestrians. The falling branch can even snap live electricity supply wires from the poles thus posing danger to the citizens.
The authorities concerned need to trim the trees by cutting the branches that have become weak. Cutting of the branches will not weaken the tree as new branches will grow in due course.
