It’s been months, the issues of damaged gutter railings and dilapidated approach road to Tar Bridge has been continuously highlighted through different sources, but till date no action has been taken to repair it.
It was expected that prior to opening of the new Tar Bridge at Mapusa, all issues with regard to dilapidated approach road from Bastora junction to bridge, damaged gutter railings, unnecessary roundabouts dug and hurriedly refilled, bad road below underpass etc. will be taken care off. Unfortunately, the situation at the spot is getting bad to worse and it will further deteriorate as the monsoon season picks up. This is a very busy junction as lot of commuters use this stretch and not to forget the children are transported on two wheelers to number of schools and colleges in and around Mapusa. Requesting, the concerned authorities to carry out inspection at the Tar Bridge vicinity and do the needful before any untoward incident occurs.
