Visibility of speed breakers

At many places in South Goa speed breakers with generous slopes have been made which are not visible even during the daytime, what to talk of night?

This results in bone jarring encounters, putting the lives of people in danger and possible vehicular damage. Half hearted attempts at painting them for higher visibility serve no purpose as the pigment wears off in a couple of weeks in high traffic sectors .Why can’t long lasting fluorescent, traffic grade emulsion paint with high day/night visibility be used to mark the humps to make life easier for all.

One can also look at the possibility of engaging artists to paint 3D images of potholes, abysses, nails etc. On road surfaces which are mere optical illusions but effectively slow down traffic, this has been successfully tried in Europe. Time to think outside the box.
