It is very sad to note that water is just getting wasted through a leakage at 1st Arvalle, Cortalim for the past two/three months now.
The PWD seems to be least bothered about the spillage. They had repaired this leakage once. However, it appeared to be like a cosmetic touch with the real problem still unsolved.
Now due to continuous flow of vehicles on this busy road and also the work of on-going flyover have added to this water leaking again.
Last week the PWD had put hot-mix over the leakage but it did not seal the seepage at the pipe which has not helped much.
Hope the authorities deal with the leakage which we feel can be solved only by replacing the pipe.
A replacement of the pipe in time will save precious water from going wasted in the drain.
It appears that the PWD officials are used to giving temporary solutions which do not help to solve the real issue. With the number of vehicles increasing on this route, the road appears not to be able to bear the heavy load. We suggest that the PWD study the real problem which lies in the weak pipes which should be replaced. Giving the road a cosmetic treatment will not solve the water leakage. The pipe has to be replaced. The hot-mix over the pipe will not repair the leakage in the water pipeline.
