Water shortage hits Poriem villagers

VALPOI: Poriem villagers have been facing the problem of water shortage for the past few days. 
According to villagers the main pipe line was broken and a complaint has been made at Water Supply Department, Valpoi, but so far no action has been taken.
The Belwada and Tamidgi Wada in Poriem village has been running dry since past two days. We have already informed the water supply department, but they have yet to ready the broken pipeline, says a villager Gurudas Gaonkar.
Another villager, Vishnu Sawant says there is no water in our taps and no one is ready to the repair that pipeline. 
He revealed that for the past two days they were drinking water from the village river water, which is not clean or hygienic. 
The villagers threaten a morcha and will agitate if the problem is not solved soon.
