When will it stop?

Hello this is Goa, where you don’t need speed breakers because within a short distance you can see the stray cattle right on the middle of the roads sitting and resting and standing there, even when you blow your horn.

This stray cattle menace on roads is becoming a hot issue and a big problem to the two wheelers riders and four-wheeler drivers. As the stray cattle roaming freely in the villages, city and towns roads causing traffic jams, accidents take place, where we can see both humans and animals losing their lives and getting seriously injured.

The situation turns worse during the night time when it becomes difficult for the drivers to spot the stray cattle due to darkness. Now the question is why the owners of the cows and buffaloes are not taking care of their animals and why the NGOs and owners make a big noise only when their animals go missing for long time?

Where are the cow protectors so called “Gau Rakshaks” and why they fail to take care of them? Looks like they only know to create problems and not to solve problems, they cannot take care of themselves what they will take care of the stray cattle menace in the State?

Request our present State government, the Chief Minister, village panchayats, municipalities and Animals Husbandry Department to take measures to curb stray cattle menace from the road across the State to protect precious lives of humans and animals. Remember that safety always comes first.
