Huge logs of wood after cutting the tree have been left unattended, lying on either side of the Margão-Quepem Road a few meters away from the Quepem town for the past two months. This is a fertile ground for the cause of accidents, a major traffic hazard, and a potential source of a tragedy in the making.
These logs of wood are lying just on the border of the white line and some even well within the white line reducing the motorable space on the road.
Interestingly, the Office of the Deputy Collector, Quepem Taluka, the Office of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Quepem and other important government offices are situated in close vicinity of the site at which these logs of woods are carelessly thrown about unattended.
The Quepem Police Station also is not far away from this place. Will the concerned authority get rid of these dangerously lying logs of wood before it takes a toll on the lives of citizens?
