VASCO: There is no issue if some students of the Class X are allowed to come to school, depending on the status of COVID-19 in the area, said Pandurang Nadkarni, former chairperson of Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE).

Nadkarni feels that the “children face problems studying online and it may also affect their eyesight”.

He opined that there should not be any issue if a small number of Class X students are allowed to attend the classes by maintaining social distancing and observing safety norms. A programme was organised by Keshav Smriti HSS, Dabolim to felicitate Dr Korgaonkar, Anil Chodankar and Pandurang Nadkarni. He mentioned that online classes in the neighbouring States such as Maharashtra and Karnataka have been stopped.
