PANJIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday assured the leaders of ‘Mission Political Reservation for Scheduled Tribes of Goa’ that he will do the needful of reserving Assembly seats at the earliest and give Justice to the Tribal community of the State.
A delegation of ‘Mission Political Reservation for Scheduled Tribes of Goa’ along with Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar and MLAs Ganesh Gaonkar and MLA Antonio Vaz, Zilla Panchayat Members, Sarpanchas, Deputy Sarpanchas, Panchayat Members, Councillors and executive committee members of 14 ST organisations, met the Chief Minister and demanded reservation of seats for Scheduled Tribes communities of the State in the Assembly and two Lok Sabha Seats as per Article 330 and 332 of Constitution of India, considering the population of STs in the State based on 2011 population census.
