VALPOI: With the onset of summer and taps running dry, agitated Saleli locals, especially women, have accused the Valpoi PWD Water Division office for turning a deaf ear to their problem.
They further threatened to take a morcha to the office if their issue is not resolved within next eight days. Despite the availability of water tanker, some locals still do not get water.

“The cashew season has started, so we have to visit the orchards frequently. If the water tanker arrives when we are working in the orchards then we miss the opportunity to store the water as the tanker does not have a fixed timing,” said one of the local women.
