CM being treated for food poisoning

PANJIM: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar is being treated at Lilavati hospital, Mumbai, a day after he complained of food poisoning. He was initially treated at Goa Medical College (GMC) and discharged the same day, Wednesday. However, he flew to Mumbai the following day for further check-up.
BJP President Vinay Tendulkar, who accompanied the CM to GMC, confirmed that the latter had suffered from food poisoning. “He had a stomach-ache since Wednesday morning and by afternoon it was confirmed he had food poisoning. The GMC doctors treated him and prescribed medicines,” he said.
Sources stated that on Thursday morning, Parrikar flew to Mumbai to Lilavati Hospital for a
further check-up. “He recovered after the treatment at GMC but on Thursday early morning, he felt the pain again after which his family decided to shift him to a Mumbai hospital for proper treatment. He is recovering now,” sources in the CM’s office told Herald.
In a late evening statement, BJP’s Sidharth Kuncalienker said Parrikar is being treated for mild pancreatitis.
Parrikar’s son and his personal security officer are accompanying him. Until going to the press, CM was still in the hospital as he has been kept under medical observation.
