PANJIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said that artisans in the area of sculpture, carving and idol making will be encouraged by making available marketing facilities and allocating space to exhibit and sell their art products in Goa at least twice a year.
He was speaking at a function organised to commemorate birth centenary of Padmashree Dr Vishnu Shridhar Vakankar, at Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir, Ponda.
Further, the chief minister said that Goans should prefer to install the idols made by Goan artisans in the Goan temples.
