PANJIM: The 50th birthday of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will be marked with day-long programmes dedicated to public welfare.
Sawant will begin his day at 8.30 am by offering prayers at the Shree Lairai Devi Temple at Shirgao followed by a visit to the house of Jayanti Satardekar, a beneficiary of Atmanirbhar Bharat, Swayampurna Goa Initiative at Assonora at 9 am.
Sawant’s further itinerary includes a visit to the Saligao Village Panchayat at 10.30 am where he will interact with all the municipalities and village panchayats through a live session from 10.45 am to 11 am. From 11 am onwards, he will address public grievances in the role of a Swayampurna Mitra.
The Chief Minister will visit the Milagres Church at Mapusa at 12.30 pm.
The Chief Minister will attend ‘Siksha Sangam’ at 3 pm followed by launching of a booklet and will also distribute job offer letters of the pharmaceutical sector.
The Chief Minister will be available to address concerns and meet people at the BJP office in Panjim from 4 pm onwards. At 7.30 pm, he will perform a pooja at Shree Radhakrishna Temple, Sankhali, after which he will meet the people at the temple premises.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of Sawant’s birthday, 237 Syampurna Mitra and 25 Taluka Nodal officers will be available for public at their respective village panchayats from 9.30 am to 1 pm on Monday. But the above programme will not be held in Assonora and Shirgao village panchayats in view of the Lairai Devi Zatra.
