The Curtorim Regional Plan Committee has urged Chief Minister Digambar Kamat to effect necessary changes in the draft Regional Plan 2021 relating to Curtorim village and treat certain areas inhabited by the Scheduled Tribe community as settlement zone.
Chairman of the Committee, MLA Alexio Reginaldo Lourenco said the Committee after making necessary changes in the draft RP plan 2021 inadvertently missed to recommend that the properties surveyed under No 253 (two parts), 282, 552 (small part) and 500 (two parts) in the village of Curtorim be treated as settlement zone which are presently erroneously shown as orchard. “The said area is inhabited by local scheduled Tribe Community, who are the original settlers of Curtorim village”, Lourenco said, adding that ‘the same has been verified personally by inspection conducted by the members of the Curtorim Regional Plan 2021 Committee.
