PANJIM: Minister of Power and New and Renewable Energy Sudin Dhavalikar on Saturday said that coaching institutions should have a holistic approach towards teaching.
Speaking at a programme organised at Goa University chemistry auditorium for felicitating admission of around 60 Aakashians in Goa Medical College (GMC), Dhavalikar said, “The main aim of any educational institution or coaching classes should be of having holy approach towards interactive teaching supporting well qualified faculty members.”
The Minister said, “In today’s life, education has prime importance and the standard of education has risen in the very highly competitive world. The government is also giving a thrust on overcoming illiteracy which will not only help improve the standard of living of people but also contribute to growth of the country’s economy. All the efforts are being made to wipe out illiteracy.”
Dhavalikar said there is a need to handle coaching and practical studies carefully and meticulously in view of overwhelming pressure on the students from the teachers and the parents.
