The Codar Gram Sabha on Sunday took up the issue of the proposed IIT project, with villagers demanding that a special Gram Sabha be convened exclusively to debate the matter. Residents have decided to seek an appointment with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant this week, on Wednesday or Thursday, to press for scrapping the proposal.
Villagers further said they will submit representations not only to the CM but also to opposition MLAs. These representations, they clarified, will be made on behalf of villagers, cultivators, and Communidade shareholders.
