MARGAO: The electricity problems of Colva residents were discussed at the local gram sabha, where members called for a meeting with the power department to get their grievances redressed.
Locals have been complaining about regular power fluctuations, irregular power supply and the problems resulting from these two issues. It was suggested that a meeting be convened with the electricity department engineer to discuss the matter.
The gram sabha also discussed the number of illegal constructions in the village. Officials disclosed that there were 21 illegal constructions, 17 of which were sub judice.
Other key issues discussed included the movement of buses on the narrow Sernabatim road and the stalls that will be set up during the Colva Fama period.
