MARGAO: Concerned citizens and leaders from various organisations met the former Leader of Opposition and Margao MLA Digambar Kamat as well as Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai on Tuesday and apprised them about the major environmental and socio-economic issues facing Goa, primarily the three linear projects, the Mormugao Port Authority (MPA), etc.

Goencho Ekvott (GE) was one such organisation present and they stated that they are optimistic that good sense will prevail and the Government of the day will be sympathetic to their views.
“We as an organisation are for pro-sustainable development. Both these leaders expressed their unconditional support to these causes which will eventually decide the fate of our motherland Goa,” said Orville Dourado Rodrigues, GE founder member.
