PANJIM: Congress on Friday said that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant is afraid of skeletons tumbling out of the cupboard if a white paper on Mhadei is released by the government.
Goa Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary Amarnath Panjikar said that the CM has no guts to face the truth and his lies on the Mhadei River diversion issue and hence has refused to release the white paper.
“The CM is afraid of skeletons tumbling out of the cupboard if white paper on Mhadei is released by the government,” Panjikar said.
The United Opposition comprising of Congress, Goa Forward Party, MGP and an Independent MLA had demanded that the government releases a white paper on Mhadei matter, in the public domain, so that awareness is created amongst the people on what has happened till date.
However, the CM refused to release the same and slammed the opposition for trying to politicize the issue.
