MAPUSA: North Goa District Congress Committee president Vijay Bhike on Monday said Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has no time to solve taxi, student and other issues but has time for ward-to-ward campaigning.
“If BJP’s former councillors had worked at the ground level in Mapusa then they would have not needed the Chief Minister to campaign for them”, Bhike alleged.
“The wives and relatives of those ex-councillors, who are unable to contest, have filed their nominations for this year’s municipal election. The former council failed miserably to develop Mapusa. None of the resolutions passed by the municipality have been implemented in the last five years. The council failed to maintain the parks in the town”, Bhike claimed.
“The manifesto released by BJP is false. We appeal to the voters not to fall prey to the saffron party’s fake promises made in its manifesto”, Bhike cautioned.
