While speaking to media persons, Lobo assures to be an aggressive and constructive opposition. He added that one of the first priorities will be to push for the resumption of sustainable mining as this will not only help fill the State coffers but also provide much-needed employment to the locals.
He said the Opposition will ensure that the grievances of the public are placed before the government and that they will follow it up till its logical end.
Speaking about coordinating with other parties in the Opposition as the LoP, he said he will work unitedly with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Revolutionary Goans (RG) and GPCC’s alliance partner Goa Forward Party (GFP).

Other Congress leaders also addressed the media at the Assembly.
Ferreira said he will take the responsibility as Chief Whip seriously and those MLAs who don’t adhere to the directions of the whip will face disqualification.
The new Congress working president Yuri Alemao said GPCC will work and identify where it has lost ground, why the people in the areas they lost have lost that connection with the party and they will focus on revamping the party and rebuilding its base with the voters across the State.
